Token-Holder Governance

The target model gives token holders direct control over the protocol across two layers. Protocol parameters and upgrades are governed by the on-chain Governor described below. Treasury allocation and token minting are governed by MetaDAO futarchy on Solana. The parameters below describe the on-chain Governor.

ParameterValue. Target or typical, with on-chain bounds in parentheses
Voting Power1 staked $P2P = 1 vote (delegatable)
Voting Delay1 day (configurable, 1s to 30d)
Voting Period7 days (configurable, 1h to 30d)
QuorumSnapshot quorum, set by governance
Passing conditionFor-votes exceed against-votes and meet quorum
Proposal thresholdCapped at 10% of supply
Timelock7 days typical (configurable, 1h to 30d)

Parameters governed by the on-chain Governor include fee percentages, spread configuration, staking and slashing rules, transaction volume limits, smart contract upgrades, and token whitelisting. Treasury allocation and token minting are governed separately by MetaDAO futarchy on Solana.
